3 – Features and controls

Front panel

1 POWER switch

Use this to turn the unit on

and off.

2 Drive 1 display

Shows track and playback

information, etc. for drive 1, as well as the menu
parameters and settings.

3 Disc tray (1)

Holds the disc for drive 1.

4 MENU key (1)

Press this in order to bring up

the menu selections for drive 1.

5 PITCH key and indicator

Press to light.

When lit, and the pitch menu is set to a value other
than 0.0%, playback will speed up and slow down
and the pitch will alter, according to the menu value
(pitch may be altered ±9.9%).

6 MEMO IN key and indicator

Press to

light. When lit, the A and B points may be set.

7 LOC A key and indicator

When the

MEMO IN

key (above) is lit, pressing this key will put

the current playback position into the A memory
point. The indicator lights. When the

MEMO IN

indi-

cator is not lit and the

LOC A

indicator is lit, pressing

this key will move the playback position to the set
point.

8 LOC B key and indicator

When the

MEMO IN

key (above) is lit, pressing this key will put

the current playback position into the B memory
point. The indicator lights. When the

MEMO IN

indi-

cator is not lit and the

LOC B

indicator is lit, pressing

this key will move the playback position to the set
point.

9 CALL key (1)

This key moves playback

position to the last playback start position. See “Cue
point” on page 22.

A DISPLAY key (1)

Changes the time display

type of drive 1.

B DISC COPY key

Starts the copying process

of discs from 1 to 2.

C OPEN CLOSE (1)

Opens and closes the tray

of drive 1.

D PHONES selector switch

This selects the

output from the

PHONES

jack to be either drive

1

,

drive

2

or

COMMON

(drive 1 if both are playing, or

the deck that is playing if only one is playing).

E PHONES LEVEL

Adjust the level from the

jack with the

LEVEL

control.

F PHONES jack

Use ordinary stereo head-

phones with this 1/4” stereo jack.

G JOG key and indicator (1)

Press to light

the indicator. When it is lit, this allows the playback
position of the disc in drive 1 to be adjusted (see
“Using the jog function” on page 23).

H MULTI DIAL (1)

Turn this to select menu

parameters, and values for menu parameters, and
press it to select the parameters and set the values.

It can also be used for selecting tracks for playback,
etc. as explained in the appropriate sections of this
manual.

I SEARCH keys (1)

Allow “fast forward”

and “fast rewind”.
