Using the Family Radio Service (FRS) Band
The following features and
options are avilable only when
the radio is in the FRS band. To
activate the FRS band, press
the BAND-1/2.5/5W button
repreatedly until the display
shows FRS.

Message Displays When
Transmitting You press the PUSH TO TALK button.
Release PTT
You press the PUSH TO TALK button but you
cannot transmit at the moment (for example,
because you are scanning).
TriWatch You turn on triple watch mode.
DualWatch You turn on dual watch mode.
