INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Wash and condition your hair as normal.
Towel-dry hair thoroughly, removing all excess water.
Comb carefully through your hair, making sure it is free from snags or tangles.
Plug in your wet2straight™ and switch it on. The LCD display will light up.
Adjust the temperature buttons to suit your preference. When the required temperature

has been reached the LCD display will be solid.

160 - 200°C - recommended for fine, damaged or fragile hair
200 - 230°C - recommended for thick or difficult to straighten hair
Divide hair into manageable sections and prepare to straighten the lowest sections of your

hair first.

Starting at the base of the neck, place a section of hair between the plates, ensuring that

the vents top of the straightener are directed away from the face/scalp. Remember: the
smaller the sections, better the results.

Close the plates and immediately glide the straightener down the section of hair - gently

moving from roots to tip.

When the water in your towel-dried hair comes into contact with the hot plates, you will

hear a loud hiss and may see some steam. This is a good thing- it’s the sound of the excess
water in your hair evaporating and is not harmful to the condition of your hair. The water
acts as a barrier between your hair and the heat, and ensures the cuticle is closed prior to
straightening.

Continue to run the section of hair between the plates until the preferred straightening

and drying is achieved. For thicker hair, you may need to go over sections more than once.

BETTER RESULTS
Results with wet2straight™ are better than with a normal straightener because the cuticle
is not being roughened up by the hairdryer. Instead, it lies flat from wet to dry, leaving hair
shiny, smooth and protected.

DO’S

Do ensure vent holes are directed away from face, head or hair.
Do make sure hands are dry before using wet2straight™ and don’t hold them over the

vent holes.

Do use wet2straight™ on dry hair if required.
Do use wet2straight™ on wet hair - just ensure hair is towel-dried before use.

DON’TS

Don’t allow dripping wet hair to come in contact with this straightener.
Don’t use a normal ‘dry’ straightener on wet hair.
Don’t be alarmed when you hear a hissing sound and see steam - it’s the sound of the

excess water. When wet2straight’s plates come in contact with towel-dried hair, this is
perfectly normal.

Due to the extreme heat capabilities of this styler, extra care should be taken when using.
Before use, make sure hair is towel-dry and tangle-free. This straightener can also be used

on dry hair.

The unit has adjustable +/- temperature buttons. Choose lower temperature settings for

fragile, bleached or dry/damaged hair. Choose higher temperature settings for thick or
difficult to straighten hair.

It is very important that the holes in the plates are held away from the face and hair, as the

water from the hair will escape through the holes as steam, which is very hot.

For shorter hair, place a plastic comb between scalp and styler to avoid touching scalp.
Do not leave switched on for more than 30 minutes.
Before use, make sure hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
While heating, during use and cooling, place on flat, smooth, heat-resistant surface.
Only hold unit at the end of the handle. Ensure the heat protection pad is used in all cases.
Do not style too close to scalp, face, ears, neck and skin.
Please note regular use of styling products may deteriorate the coating. Wipe clean

regularly to maintain performance.

Do not use an abrasive cleaning fluid to clean the plates, as damage will occur. Use a soft

damp cloth on the unit while unplugged.

Do not scratch the surface of the plates as this will deteriorate the effectiveness of the

coating.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool. Wipe clean any build up of styling products with a damp
cloth. Do not use an abrasive cleaning fluid to clean, as damage will occur.
