4.10 Frequency Control
Choose “FREQUENCY CONTROL” from the main menu, a display will be shown on screen as below:
Frequency Control Setup Screen
This setup menu allows you to specify your settings for frequency control.
AUTO DETECT PCI CLK:
This item allows you to enable or disable auto detect PCI Clock.
SPREAD SPECTRUM:
When the system clock generator pulses, the extreme values of the pulse generate excess EMI. En-
abling pulse spectrum spread modulation changes the extreme values from spikes to flat curves, thus
reducing EMI. This benefit may in some cases be outweighed by problems with timing- critical devices
such as a clock-sensitive SCSI device.
