12.2.6 IPDirector destination
Overview
The IPDirector destination subject allows you to ingest sequences to the IPDirector nearline. The clip is checked-in on the
IPDirector database by the creation of an evs.xml clip descriptor next to media file on the nearline.
i
XF-Series sequences ingested to IPDirector will be padded with mute tracks to achieve 8 mono audio tracks.

A folder browser dialog will automatically open. Browse to the folder where you want to store your ingested
sequences. You can change the destination folder later by clicking on the
button on the top of the ingest panel.
No checking is done to determine whether the selected folder is an actual IPDirector nearline folder or not. If the
selected folder is not a nearline folder, your ingested material will not appear in the IPDirector media list.
