FCC Part 68 and ACTA

Ths equpment comples wth Part 68 of the FCC rules and wth techncal requrements adopted by

the Admnstratve Councl for Termnal Attachments (ACTA). The label on the back or bottom of ths

equipment contains, among other things, a product identifier in the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. This

identifier must be provided to your telephone service provider upon request.
The plug and jack used to connect ths equpment to premses wrng and the telephone network

must comply wth applcable Part 68 rules and techncal requrements adopted by ACTA. A complant

telephone cord and modular plug s provded wth ths product. It s desgned to be connected to a

compatble modular jack that s also complant. An RJ11 jack should normally be used for connectng to

a sngle lne and an RJ14 jack for two lnes. See Installaton Instructons n the user’s manual.
The Rnger Equvalence Number (REN) s used to determne how many devces you may connect to

your telephone lne and stll have them rng when you are called. The REN for ths product s encoded

as the 6th and 7th characters following the US: in the product identifier (e.g., if ## is 03, the REN is 0.3).

In most, but not all areas, the sum of all RENs should be five (5.0) or less. For more information, please

contact your telephone servce provder.
Ths equpment may not be used wth Party Lnes. If you have specally wred alarm dalng equpment

connected to your telephone lne, ensure the connecton of ths equpment does not dsable your alarm

equpment. If you have questons about what wll dsable alarm equpment, consult your telephone

service provider or a qualified installer.
If ths equpment s malfunctonng, t must be unplugged from the modular jack untl the problem has

been corrected. Repars to ths telephone equpment can only be made by the manufacturer or ts

authorzed agents. For repar procedures, follow the nstructons outlned under the Warranty.
If ths equpment s causng harm to the telephone network, the telephone servce provder may

temporarly dscontnue your telephone servce. The telephone servce provder s requred to notfy you

before interrupting service. If advance notice is not practical, you will be notified as soon as possible.

You wll be gven the opportunty to correct the problem and the telephone servce provder s requred

to inform you of your right to file a complaint with the FCC. Your telephone service provider may make

changes n ts facltes, equpment, operaton, or procedures that could affect the proper functonng of

ths product. The telephone servce provder s requred to notfy you f such changes are planned.
If ths product s equpped wth a corded or cordless handset, t s hearng ad compatble.
If ths product has memory dalng locatons, you may choose to store emergency telephone numbers

(e.g., police, fire, medical) in these locations. If you do store or test emergency numbers, please:
Remain on the line and briefly explain the reason for the call before hanging up.
Perform such actvtes n off-peak hours, such as early mornng or late evenng.

Industry Canada

Operaton s subject to the followng two condtons: (1) ths devce may not cause harmful

nterference, and (2) ths devce must accept any nterference, ncludng nterference that may

cause undesred operaton.
The term ‘’IC:‘’ before the certification/registration number only signifies that the Industry Canada

technical specifications were met.
The Rnger Equvalence Number (REN) for ths termnal equpment s 1.0. The REN s an ndcaton of

the maxmum number of devces allowed to be connected to a telephone nterface. The termnaton on

an nterface may consst of any combnaton of devces subject only to the requrement that the sum of

the RENs of all the devices does not exceed five.
This product meets the applicable Industry Canada technical specifications.
