Base Angle Installation
On the lower edge of the final bottom ring, attach the base angle ring. Before lowering the bin, apply the
optional mastic sealer to the entire underneath side of the base angle.
(See Figure 8E.) Next, lower the
bin onto the foundation and check for an adequate seal.
Sealing the base of the bin after final construction is done by various methods and materials, based on
materials available, preferences of the customer, etc. However provisions should be made to seal the
base of the bin to prevent moisture from coming into the bin.
