the harness. Then remove the four large black plastic light housing thumb nuts visible at the upper end
of the deck lid. It is these four nuts the will secure the top area of the new panel.

4. Adjust the new panels thumb screw tabs so that they bend into the deck lids recesses providing the

platform for the thumbnuts and then place the new panel into the deck lid and secure it using the
factory four thumbnuts.

5. At this juncture of the installation you will need the help of a friend to push the curvature of the panel

into the new panel until it matches the curve of the deck lid and hold this position. Make sure that the
wire harness is routed properly. Now with the panel nicely tucked into position install the 6 small pan
head self-tapping screws provided. These screws each have a chrome screw cap and white socket.
Simply insert each screw into the white nylon socket and then use a good screw gun to tap each screw
into the deck lids sub frame. Since the deck lids sub frame is a very thin metal self-tapping these screws
should be very easy. Be care full not to over tighten these screws as this will welt the panel creating an
unsightly result. Just snug will work fine.

6. Now that the panel has been successfully installed simply peel the protective liner and then snap on all

the chrome decorative screw covers.

Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your trunk panel. It is a good idea to lightly dust your trunk
panel with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from scratching them. Then wipe
(using a new clean soft cloth or bounty paper towel) with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
