INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS LENS BLACKOUT KIT:
2-12mil Vinyl Covers
2-Adhesive Promoter Packs
(Must be installed first)
This kit includes two 12mil vinyls self stick lens protectors designed to give a nice
blacked out look to your C5 turn signal as well as guard against rocks and other types of
road debris from cracking your light both a decorative and useful accessory.
1. Thoroughly scrub clean the surface of your two turn signals with alcohol to remove any
and all wax or road grime and dirt.
2. Once you have cleaned the lenses swipe the entire cover with the adhesive promoter
provided and allow a few minute to dry.
3. Before you peel and stick the vinyl place them into position to familiarize yourself with
just how they are intended to be placed. It would be very helpful to draw a couple of
cross hairs onto the vinyl and paint to allow you to place them exactly in the correct
position when you are ready to install them. You can do this with a china marker or
grease pencil.
4. Now that you are ready to install the covers peel the release liner completely. Set the
vinyl into position and use your thumb to firmly press the vinyl onto the lens as you
force the material to contour to the shape of the lens. Although there are many types of
squeegee’s that can do this job we find that your thumb will give you more control to
keep out any air bubbles and will also allow you to contour the material with a greater
level of success. Once you are done use a heat gun or hair drier to heat the material so
that it can be thermal formed to the lens this will help the cover from ever lifting up or
popping out of shape long term.
