1. Note: Turn the front wheels to the left
before starting to gain extra clearance.
With the ignition switched off and the parking
brake set, disconnect the negative battery
cable.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
VEHICLE APPLICATION

2010 Models may require minor trimming

TOOLS REQUIRED
• 5/16”, 1/2”, 10mm Sockets
• 5/16”, 1/2”, 10mm Wrenches
• 5/16” Nut Driver or Flat Blade Screwdriver
• Phillips Screwdriver
• Hacksaw and/or Utility Knife

If installed, remove the air box plug from
the air box. If not, install the three clip nuts
that were supplied with the intake kit onto the
bottom opening lip of the air box.

Slide the Scoop Assembly up into the
engine compartment from under the vehicle.
Note: It be may be useful to have something
to support the Scoop Base before continuing.

Remove the 6 screws attaching the clear
lid to the air box.

Install the three Clip Nuts (E) over the
holes on the Scoop Base (D) as shown.

From inside the air box grab the top of the
Scoop assembly and align with the three holes in
the air box. Note: It be necessary to move some
wiring harnesses out of the way to gain
clearance for the scoop assembly.

Loosen both hose clamps on the hump
adapter and the slide the hump adapter over
the intake tube. Then remove the Adapter
tube and Air Filter from the air box.

Slide the Scoop Channel (C) over the
Scoop Base (D) and attach using the three
supplied #10-32 Screws (B) and Sealing
Washers (A) .

• Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the
Parking Brake is set.
Thread Locker Use
We have provided a small tube of thread locker in
your kit. Whenever you see the symbol above on a step
of the instructions apply 1 small drop of the thread locker
to the threads of the screws or bolts. This will keep your
hardware from vibrating loose during rough driving. If the
hardware ever needs to be removed, do so slowly to
avoid having the inserts strip out from the plastic. DO
NOT USE ON LID HARDWARE.
7.
Note: For some 2010 models; It may be
necessary to trim the wheel liner for the
installation of the scoop assembly. Use a
hacksaw or utility knife for this step.
