8.1 Troubleshooting

8.1.1 LED Status

First, check the LEDs.
The DeviceNet control card contains two bi-colour (green/red) LEDs to indicate the state of the device and the network respectively.

The upper LED indicates module status (MS). The lower LED indicates network
status (NS).

No Power

Off

There is no power applied to the option

Device operational

Green

The DeviceNet option is operating in normal condition.

Standby

Green

The DeviceNet option needs commissioning due to con-
figuration missing, incomplete or incorrect.

Minor fault

Red

Recoverable fault.

Unrecoverable fault Red

Unrecoverable fault, may need replacing.

Self test

Green

The DeviceNet option is in Self-test mode.
