RAID controller selection
You can choose either the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility or the Intel
Matrix Storage Manager as the default utility to create RAID set(s). See 5. RAID
configuration utility selection on page 4-6 for details.
6.1.4
Setting the RAID item in BIOS
You must set the RAID item in the BIOS Setup before you can create a RAID set
from SATA hard disk drives attached to the SATA connectors supported by
Intel
®
3420 chipset. To do this:
1. Enter the BIOS Setup during POST.
2. Go to the Main menu > Storage Configuration, and then press <Enter>.
3. Set the Configure SATA as item to [RAID].
4. Press <F10> to save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup.
