Commissioning and decommissioning
6.2 Decommissioning/ storing
Stop the pump
a) Switch the pump off.
b) Close isolation valve to pump inlet.
c) Disconnect the motor from the power supply.
d) Open isolation valve slowly to vent the pump to
atmosphere.
e) Remove the pipes and hoses.
f) Seal the connections for suction and discharge
ports with adhesive foil.
g) Discharge cooling water (Fig. 3/D
1
