measurement instruments or Application Note 346-3 (P/N 5091-6553E).

3. Electrical Length Compensation

In a single-port (Two-Terminal) impedance measurement at higher frequencies (RF region or higher),
the wavelengths of the electrical signal are so short that the length of the signal transmission line
including the test fixture and cables can cause an undesirable phase shift error. The phase shift
error is corrected by the electrical length compensation, which should be performed in combination
with the open/short compensation.

The following measurement instruments are equipped with electrical length compensation function.
