Installing a new Compact Flash Card
To install the new compact fl ash card, you will need a Phillips screw-
driver, the compact fl ash card and power for the analyzer. You can
use a vehicle’s battery, or the optional AC power supply.
Step 1
Remove the 4 screws holding the back panel in place. Then remove
the back panel.
Step 2
Locate the compact fl ash card and remove it. Install the new com-
pact fl ash card. It will only go in one way, and takes gentle pressure
to seat the card.
Step 3
Reattach the back panel and apply power to the labscope.
Step 4
Press the Menu button to bring up the selection menu
Step 5
Press the Help and Hold buttons at the same time. This will bring up
a hidden menu.
Step 6
Use the arrow keys to select Reprogram DSP. Press the NEXT but-
ton. The screen should dramatically change contrast to the point
you cannot read what is on the screen. If the screen looks the same,
press the NEXT button again. Wait a few minutes until the DSP is
reprogrammed and the labscope reboots.
Step 7
Perform Step 4 and 5 again to get to the hidden menu. Use the ar-
row keys to select Restore Factory Defaults. Press the NEXT button.
This will take about a minute. When the analyzer is fi nished, it will
beep. You are done reprogramming the labscope.
