1.

Prepare the

electrode for use.
Refer to

Preparation

for use on page 2

.

Connect the
electrode to the
meter.

2.

Prepare 25-mL

of the sample(s) in
beakers or
appropriate
containers. Add one
sodium ionic
strength adjustment
(ISA) powder pillow
to each before
measurement.

3.

Place the

electrode in the
sample. Make sure
the filling solution is
above the sample
level. Refer to

Figure 2 on page 6

.

4.

Select Read.

The display will
show Stabilizing...
and a progress bar
as the electrode
stabilizes in the
sample. If required
by the application,
also record the
sample pH and
temperature.

5.

Rinse the probe

with ISA rinse
solution. Refer to

ISA rinse solution
preparation on
page 8

. Blot dry with

a lint-free cloth.

6.

Repeat steps 2

to 5 for additional
measurements

7.

Between uses,

place the electrode
in 25 mL sodium
standard (containing
Sodium ISA) that is
similar in
concentration to the
samples to be
analyzed. When
finished, store the
electrode. Refer to

Storage on page 7

.
