The blade guard shields the blade and must always
be in place when operating the saw. Inspect the
blade guard prior to starting the saw and clean,
repair, or replace damaged components
immediately. Note: Always use a blade guard that
corresponds with the blade size

.

Installing the Blade Guard

1. Fit the blade guard over the blade/blade

flanges.

2. Match the screw hole at the bottom, left of the

guard with the screw hole on the frame. Place
the screw through the matching holes and
tighten.

3. Match the screw hole centered at the top of the

blade guard with the screw hole on front of the
belt guard. Place the lock knob through the
matching holes (from the backside of the blade
guard) and tighten to secure the guard.

Removing the Blade Guard

1. Remove the lock knob from the backside of the

blade guard.

2. Remove the screw from the bottom, left of the

guard.

3. Lift the guard off of the saw.

Handlebar Lever

The handlebar lever lowers the saw and blade.

Raising the Saw

1. Push down on the handlebars to raise the saw

and lock in position.

Lowering the Saw

1. Push in the handlebar lever and push up on the

handlebars to lower the saw.

Lift Cable

The lift cable raises and lowers the skip plate.

Lowering the Skip Plate

1. Unlock the lift cable handle.
2. Pull up on the handle to lower the skip plate.
3. Relock the handle to secure.

Raising the Skip Plate

1. Unlock the lift cable handle.
2. Push down on the handle to raise the skip

plate.

3. Relock the handle to secure.
