Step 8: Connect the 12 V power to the board. Connect the 12 V power from the power

4.2.2 Socket LGA2011 Cooling Kit Installation
WARNING:
DO NOT attempt to install a push-pin cooling fan.
The pre-installed support bracket prevents the board from bending and
is ONLY compatible with captive screw type cooling fans.
The cooling kit can be bought from IEI. The cooling kit has a heat sink and fan.
WARNING:
Do not wipe off (accidentally or otherwise) the pre-sprayed layer of
thermal paste on the bottom of the heat sink. The thermal paste
between the CPU and the heat sink is important for optimum heat
dissipation.
To install the cooling kit, follow the instructions below.
Step 1: A cooling kit bracket is pre-installed on the rear of the server board. See Figure
4-5.
