5.6 Power Management Setup
Use the Power Management Setup menu (BIOS Menu 8) to set the BIOS power
management and saving features.
BIOS Menu 8: Power Management Setup
x ACPI Function [Disabled]
The ACPI Function is enabled when the Power Management option is set to ACPI;
otherwise, it is disabled.
ACPI Suspend Type [S1&S3]
When the system is in the [S1&S3] suspend state, the system appears off. The CPU is
stopped, RAM is refreshed and the system is runs in a low power mode.
S1(POS) Sets the ACPI Suspend Type to POS (Power On Suspend).
S3(STR) Sets the ACPI Suspend Type to STR (Suspend To RAM).
S1&S3 (Default) Sets the ACPI Suspend Type to POS and STR.
