Theoptionsscreen,intheinstructormode,allowsthe
user to change the volume of the user interface and
welding sounds, date and time settings.  See Figure

Theupdatescreen,intheinstructormode,allowsthe
usertoupdatetheirsoftwareortoupdatespecificcon-
figuration files from the USB memory device in the
frontoftheVRTEX
® MOBILE.Selectingthisbringsup
twooptions:
•UpdateSoftware
•UpdateConfigurationFile
SOFTWARE
Selectingthisoptionloadsanewerversionofthesoft-
wareifoneisavailableontheUSBinthefrontofthe
machine. Updating to a different version may shut
downorrestartthesystem.
Afterupdating,thesystemmayneedtobeshutdown
andrestartedforchangestotakeeffect.
CONFIGURATION FILE
Selectingthisoptionloadsanyconfigurationchanges
fromtheUSBinthefrontofthemachine.Thisisused
forpartreplacement.
