Removing the hard drive from the x305 IBM server
To remove the hard drive from the server:
1. Locate the drive cage in the left-hand corner of the front of the server. See Figure 2 .

2. Use the black pull handles on the ribbon cables to unplug the data connectors from the back
of the CD-ROM drive and hard drive.
3. Push the ribbon cable back out of the way.
