The output circuits are then checked for the opposite condition. For circuits using the NC
contacts, the wire going the C terminal is temporarily disconnected and the associated
device is checked to make sure it is de-energised. For circuits using the NO contacts, a
jumper wire is temporarily connected between the NO and C terminals; the associated
device is checked to make sure it is energised.
