Shoot.
Shooting Still Images
Focus.
z z Press the shutter ring lightly, halfway
down. The camera beeps twice after
focusing, and AF frames are displayed to
indicate image areas in focus.
Shoot.
z z Press the shutter ring all the way down.
X X As the camera shoots, a shutter sound
is played, and in low-light conditions, the
flash fires automatically.
z z Keep the camera still until the shutter
sound ends.
X X Your shot is only displayed until the
camera is ready to shoot again.
Shooting Movies
Start shooting.
z z
Touch [ ]. The camera beeps once as
recording begins, and [ Rec] is displayed
with the elapsed time.
X X Black bars displayed on the top and
bottom edges of the screen indicate
image areas not recorded.
X X Frames displayed around any detected
faces indicate that they are in focus.
X X In low-light conditions, the flash is
activated automatically, and [
] is
displayed.
Finish shooting.
z z
Touch [ ]. The camera beeps twice as
recording stops.
• If you set the mode switch to [ ] in step 2, you can shoot multiple still images
with effects for each shot (Creative Shot mode) ( = 32).
