Shooting with the FE Lock
Just as with the AE lock ( = 70), you can lock the exposure for the flash
shots.
1 Set the flash to [h] ( = 80).
2 Lock the flash exposure.
z z Aim the camera at the subject to shoot
with the exposure locked. With the
shutter button pressed halfway, press the
< o> button.
X X The flash fires, and when [ (] is
displayed, the flash output level is
retained.
z z To unlock FE, release the shutter button
and press the < o> button again. In this
case, [ (] is no longer displayed.
3 Compose the shot and shoot.

Changing the Compression Ratio (Image
Quality)
Choose from two compression ratios, as follows: (Super Fine), (Fine).
For guidelines on how many shots at each compression ratio can fit on a
memory card, see “Number of 4:3 Shots per Memory Card” ( = 172).

z z Press the < m> button, choose [ ] in
the menu, and choose the desired option
( = 28).
