Jumper block J5 configures Int 19h, Fast SCSI, Synchronous Negotia-
tion, SCSI Disconnection, Floptical Drive Support, and Extended
Translation for Drives > 1 GByte. The default configuration is

Pin pair BT determines whether Int 19h is rerouted. The default set-
ting is reroute Int 19h. The available settings are

To allow for booting capability from a SCSI drive, the host adapter
BIOS allows you to reroute Int 19h during system bootup. If Int 19h
is not rerouted, Int 13h performs system bootup and allows bootup
from a non-SCSI device (e.g., IDE drive).

Note:

In the default setting the host adapter BIOS per-

forms the booting function.
