Select the desired CU to display the MCU/RCU information for that CU (see

“MCU&RCU Display

on the RCU Operation Window showing CU List” (page 72)

). You can select only one CU at a

time. The MCU/RCU information includes:

Description

Item

CU number that is selected on the tree. If you select CU
Free, Any is displayed.

CU

MCU or RCU. The MCU is displayed when the storage
system that you are accessing is used as the RCU of the
pair.

Type

Serial number of the other CU of the pair (five digits). The
LDKC number (two digits) is also displayed next to the S/N.

S/N

ID of the other CU of the pair. If you select CU Free, the
Path group ID is displayed in two-digit hexadecimal number

ID

with an asterisk or as Default. Path group IDs are used for
identifying groups of logical paths. If you select a CU other
than CU Free, SSID is displayed in a four-digit hexadecimal
number.

CU number of the other CU of the pair. If you select CU
Free, Any is displayed.

Paired CU

Path channel type (fibre) between the other CU of the pair.
This column is blank when the connected CU is an MCU.

M-R Path

Normal indicates no path failure to the RCU. Failed
indicates that a failure occurred in all paths to the RCUs.

Status

Warning indicates that a failed path to the RCU exists. This
column is blank when the connected CU is an MCU.

Number of paths (blank when the connected CU is an
MCU).

Num. of Path

Double-click on the selected CU to display the RCU information for that CU (see

“MCU&RCU

Display on the RCU Operation Window showing RCU List ” (page 72)

). If you select CU Free, the

controller ID, model name, RCU serial number, LDKC number, and path group ID are displayed
next to the RCU icon. If you select a CU number, the RCU serial number and CU number are
displayed next to the RCU icon. You can double-click on an RCU of CU Free to display the path
information for that RCU in the list. You can also double-click on an RCU of each CU number to
display the SSID and path information for that RCU in the list (also shown in

“MCU&RCU Display

on the RCU Operation Window showing RCU List ” (page 72)

). The ID and path information

includes:

M-R Path

Status of the path.
