NOTE:

When creating a VMFS snapshot, VMware can fail the operation with the message:

“Cannot create a quiesced snapshot because the create snapshot operation exceeded the time
limit for holding off I/O in the frozen Virtual Machine.”

If this message is displayed, the VMware Tools process should be restarted, or reinstalled to resolve
the issue.

Scheduling tool

You can automatically have Recovery Sets created according to a specified schedule by using the
scheduling tool. You have the option of scheduling when (by minutes, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly,
and one time only) the Recovery Set is to be created and then specifying how often the task is to
be performed. You can also schedule a Recovery Set creation task to occur on a one-time basis.

VASA support

Support is included for vSphere Storage APIs for Storage Awareness (VASA) that allows a VMware
administrators to view information about the physical storage array as well as the virtual Datastore.
For more information on VASA, see "Storage Providers" in vCenter Server.

NOTE:

The VASA support is available, only if you have selected the Storage Module during the
