Operations at the local site

Resynchronize the copy groups.

To resynchronize the copy groups, execute

EX_DRM_RESYNC

on the database server.

Restoring a storage group to a local site

This section explains how to restore a storage group to a local site when the local site is operating
normally without any failures. The procedures for restoring the data to a local site and to a remote
site are explained separately.

Operations at the remote site

To restore a storage group to a local site:

1.

Split the Continuous Access Software pair (usual operation is in the pair status).

BKServer > pairsplit -g TC01 -d EXG11 -rw

BKServer > pairsplit -g TC02 -d EXG12 -rw

Check the backup ID of the backup data.

To check the backup ID, execute the

drmtapecat

command on the backup server.

BKServer >drmtapecat -l

Restore the backed up data from the tape to the secondary volume.

To restore the data, execute

EX_DRM_TAPE_RESTORE

on the backup server. The command

specifies the

D:

drive as the mount point.

When you execute restore, information about this restore is registered in the backup catalog of
