Clean bottom of carriage (monthly)
Clumps of ink and debris can accumulate around the printheads. This routine cleans as much of this
surface area as possible. This reduces the possibility of ink debris being moved from the edge of the
printhead orifice area onto the printhead, which can clog jets.
1. From the printer’s menu, select Tools> Maintenance > Clean Bottom Of Carriage.
2. When the procedure completes, clean the wipers as shown in the section Clean service station
wiper (monthly) on page 75 .
