18.1 Connection of DVR and Router/Modem
Use this section to show you how to connect the DVR to the router/modem.
DVR
1. Make sure that your DVR is connected to a power outlet.
2. Connect the DVR directly to the router through an open port with
the included Ethernet cable.
3. Connect a computer directly to the same router through another
open port with an Ethernet cable.

Do not connect the DVR to a wireless router.
