Tailgate Lock

Step 1: Remove the screws from the inside of the tailgate that hold the access panel in place. Remove the access panel.
Step 2: Remove the latch rods from the plastic
clips (circled on picture). Do this by prying up
the top side of the clip and popping it open. Lift
the rod out of the clip.
-Remove the four bolts that hold the factory
handle into the tailgate (shown by the four
arrows on picture). Hold the handle in place to
prevent the handle from falling out.
-Remove the factory handle from the tailgate.
Step 3: Remove the logo from the factory
handle and reinstall it onto the Pop and Lock
handle.
-Install the Pop and Lock handle assembly into
the tailgate.
-Reinstall the four mounting bolts and tighten.
-Attach the latch rods to the plastic clips. Install
the rods into the plastic clips. Snap the clips
closed onto the rods. Make sure the rods are
secure.
Do not install the access panel yet.
Step 4: - Shut the tailgate. Test the function of the lock. Turn the key clockwise to lock. Turn the key counter clockwise
to unlock. If lock functions properly, reinstall the access panel.
