2. Insert the mattress into the mattress compartment (Fig. 30).
3. Completely zip the mattress compartment. The mattress must be fully
zippered into the mattress compartment at all times when a patient is in the
Posey Bed.
NEVER put a mattress inside the patient area.
4. Attach the canopy to the bed frame by securing both bed straps located in the
middle of the long sides of the bed.
The canopy bed straps must ALWAYS be connected to a movable part of the bed frame
to avoid damaging the mattress compartment.
5. Insert the strap through the bed frame (Fig. 31).
6. Bring the strap up through both D-rings and then back in between the first and second D-ring (Figs. 32 and
33).
7. Pull strap straight down to tighten (Fig. 34).
8. Repeat on the other side of the bed frame.
