3.1.2 Windows Vista
To install the drivers on a Vista PC you will need administrative rights or
access to the administrator password during the installation process. Make sure
you have the latest driver set (post-March 2008) which includes formal Vista
support. To start the installation, plug the SC-USB into a free USB port. The
found new hardware wizard will start and show this screen.
Select the first option as shown. You will normally get prompted to confirm
you want to continue (a Vista User Account Control Message). If you do not
have administrative rights to your machine, you will need to get an
administrator to authorize this step.
With Windows Vista the machine will always go and search all available
sources for the drivers (including the Internet) before asking for a local copy.
This leads to a long delay before the next step where you are prompted to
install a CD.
