USB Interface
(SC-D352/D353/D354/D354M/D355 only)
✤ To use USB streaming, the DV Driver, Video Codec and DirectX 9.0. programs must be
installed in the PC.
✤ You can view Camcorder video on your PC using USB streaming.
✤ You can also store it as a moving picture in the "avi" file format, or as a still image in the "jpg"
file format on a PC.
1. Set the Mode switch to TAPE(SC-D353/D354/D354M/D355 only), set the Power switch to
CAMERA or PLAYER.
2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB jack on the Camcorder and the other end to
the USB port on your computer.
3. Setup and execute Windows Movie Maker or the Ulead VIDEO Studio Software application
provided on the CD.
- For detailed instructions for Ulead VIDEO Studio use, refer to the program’s Help function.
- Windows Movie Maker is used for WINDOWS ME and XP users. (C:\program files\Movie
maker\moviemk.exe)
✤ You can easily transfer data from a Memory card to a PC without additional add-on cards via
a USB connection.
1. Set the Mode switch to MEMORY CARD, set the Power switch to CAMERA or PLAYER.
2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB jack on the Camcorder and the other end to
the USB port on your computer.
3 To verify whether the removable disk has been properly recognized, open Windows Explorer
and locate the removable disk.
1. Connect a USB cable to the USB port on the PC.
■ If a USB cable is connected to the Camcorder's USB port, nothing is displayed on a TV.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable into the USB jack on the Camcorder. (USB jack)
■ If a PC is connected to the Camcorder with a USB cable only, Zoom switch and NITE PIX
(SC-D352/D354/D354M/D355 only) operate.
✤ After completing the data transmission, you must disconnect
the cable in the following way:
1. Select the removable disc icon and click the right mouse
button to select [Eject].
2. Select [Confirm] and disconnect the USB cable when the
Windows Splash screen appears.
[ Notes ]
■ If you disconnect the USB cable from the PC or the
Camcorder while transferring, the data transmission will stop
and the data may be damaged.
■ If you connect the USB cable to a PC via a USB HUB or simultaneously connect the USB
cable along with other USB devices, the Camcorder may not work properly.
If this occurs, remove all USB devices from the PC and reconnect the Camcorder.
■ While transmitting data from the Camcorder to PC at strong electric field and strong
magnetic field, VIDEO signal or AUDIO signal may transmit with noise.

✤ Para utilizar USB Streaming, deben instalarse en el PC los programas Video Codec, DirectX 9.0.
✤ Puede ver vídeo de la videocámara en su PC utilizando USB Streaming.
✤ También puede guardarlo como imagen de vídeo con el formato de archivo "avi" o como
imagen fija en formato de archivo "jpg" en un PC.
1. Coloque el interruptor Mode en TAPE (Sólo SC-D353/D354/D354M/D355), coloque el
interruptor Power en CAMERA o PLAYER.
2. Conecte un extremo del cable USB al conector USB de la videocámara y el otro al puerto
USB del PC.
3. Configure y ejecute Windows Movie Maker o la aplicación Ulead VIDEO Studio que se
incluye en el CD.
- Para obtener instrucciones detalladas sobre el uso de Ulead VIDEO Studio, consulte la
función de ayuda del programa.
- Windows Movie Maker se utiliza para usuarios de WINDOWS ME y XP. (C:\program
files\Movie maker\moviemk.exe)
✤ Se pueden transferir datos de manera sencilla desde una tarjeta de memoria a un PC
mediante una conexión USB, sin necesidad de una tarjeta adicional.
1. Coloque el interruptor Mode en MEMORY CARD coloque el interruptor Power en CAMERA
o PLAYER.
2. Conecte un extremo del cable USB al conector USB de la videocámara y el otro al puerto
USB del PC.
3 Para verificar si se ha reconocido correctamente el disco extraíble, abra el Explorador de
Windows y localice el disco extraíble.
1. Conecte un extremo del cable USB al puerto USB del PC.
■ Si se conecta un cable USB al puerto USB de la videocámara, no aparece nada en el TV.
2. Conecte el otro extremo del cable al terminal apropiado de la videocámara (conector USB).
■ Si se conecta un PC a la videocámara sólo con un cable USB, estarán operativos el
interruptor de Zoom y NITE PIX (Sólo SC-D352/D354/D354M/D355).
✤ Tras completar la transmisión de datos, debe desconectar el
cable de la forma siguiente:
1. Seleccione el icono del disco extraíble y haga clic en el botón
derecho del ratón para seleccionar [Expulsar].
2. Seleccione [Confirmar] y desconecte el cable USB cuando
desaparezca la pantalla emergente.
[ Notas ]
■ Si desconecta el cable USB del PC o de la videocámara
mientras se están transfiriendo datos, la transmisión se
detendrá y puede que los datos resulten dañados.
■ Si conecta el cable USB al PC a través de un concentrador (hub) USB, o si lo conecta de
manera simultánea con otros aparatos USB, es posible que la videocámara no funcione
correctamente.
En este caso, desconecte del PC los otros aparatos USB y vuelva a conectar la videocámara.
■ Cuando se transmiten datos desde la videocámara a un PC en un campo
electromagnético potente, es posible que la señal de vídeo y de audio transmitida tenga
interferencias.
