Installing an AT-PWR3101 Module
Before installing an additional AT-PWR3101 module in an AT-RPS3104
system, do the following:
ˆ Choose a slot for the new module in the AT-RPS3104 system. The
module can be installed in any slot.
ˆ Check to see if the power cord retaining clip has been installed on the
slot’s corresponding AC connector on the back panel of the
AT-RPS3104 system. If it has not been installed, refer to “Installing
the Power Cord Retaining Clips” on page 20. (The retaining clips ship
with the AT-RPS3104 system.)
ˆ Check to be sure that the slot’s corresponding On/Off switch on the
back panel of the AT-RPS3104 system is in the Off position. Each
module slot in the AT-RPS3104 system has a separate power switch.
To install the AT-PWR3101 module, perform the following procedure:
1. Remove the AT-PWR3101 module from its shipping container. Retain
the shipping material. You must use the original shipping material if
you need to return the product to Allied Telesyn.
2. Refer to “Verifying Package Contents” on page 17 to verify that the
package contains the appropriate items.
3. Using a # 1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the blank panel from the slot
chosen for the new AT-PWR3101 module (see Figure 15).
