The camera focuses at infinity.

The focus indicator (A 5) always turns green when the shutter-release button is pressed

halfway.

The flash setting is fixed at y Flash off (A 35).

The self-timer is not available (A 37).

L Mirror
You can take pictures that are laterally symmetrical over the center of the frame.

The closest distance at which the camera can focus varies depending on the zoom position.

When the zoom is set to a position where the zoom indicator turns green, the camera can focus
on subjects as close as about 20 cm (8 in.) from the front of the protective glass.
When the zoom is at the maximum wide-angle position, the camera can focus on subjects as
close as about 5 cm (2 in.) from the front of the protective glass.

The camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame.

The right half of the screen is shaded. The unshaded left half is flipped to become the image of

the right half. Frame the subject so that the image becomes laterally symmetrical over the center
line of the screen.

The camera focuses even when the shutter-release button is not pressed halfway. You may hear

the sound of the camera focusing.

The flash may be unable to light the entire subject at distances of less than 50 cm (1 ft 8 in.).

The flash is set to w Auto flash, but the setting can be changed (A 35).

The self-timer can be set, but Y Smile timer is not available (A 37, 39).

O: Shutter speed is reduced when using styles indicated with O; therefore, the use of a tripod is

recommended.
