Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus
Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu
The shooting menu of auto mode and the high sensitivity menu of high sensitivity
mode contain the following options.
1 The Image mode setting is also available from other shooting mode (except the movie mode).
2 This setting cannot be set in the high sensitivity mode.
Displaying the Shooting Menu
Change the camera mode to A (auto) or B (high sensitivity) mode (
A22, 50).
Press the
d button to display the shooting menu or the high sensitivity menu.
• Use the rotary multi selector to choose and apply settings ( A10).
• Press the d button to exit the shooting menu or the high sensitivity menu.

Functions that Cannot be Applied Simultaneously
Some functions cannot be enabled in conjunction with others ( A114).
A Image mode
1 A100
Choose the image mode (a combination of the image size and image quality
(compression)) to be used when recording.
B White balance A102
Match white balance to the light source.
G Metering A104
Choose how the camera meters exposure.
C Continuous

Change settings for Continuous and BSS (Best Shot Selector).
E ISO sensitivity

Control the camera’s sensitivity to light.
