AE/AF Lock Button

Select the function to be performed when the

g (AE-L/AF-L) button (A5) is

pressed while shooting.

The

g (AE-L/AF-L) button setting is displayed on the monitor during shooting (A8).

During still picture shooting, lock only when the AE/AF-L button is pressed.
During movie recording, lock when the AE/AF-L button is pressed, and release

when the button is pressed again.

Notes on AE/AF Lock Button Setting

The

g (AE-L/AF-L) button cannot be used when Scene auto selector is selected in scene mode.

AE-L (exposure locking) cannot be used when the shooting mode is set to

D.

AF-L (focus locking) cannot be used when focus mode (

A67) is set to E (manual focus).
