These operating instructions explain the
Duo-SB vacuum cleaner. The structure of
the MONO SB vacuum cleaner is principal-
ly the same. The vacuum cleaners differ
only in the number of the suction devices.

Risk of fire and explosion!
– Never vacuum up explosive liquids,
combustible gases, explosive dusts as
well as undiluted acids and solvents.
These may produce explosive vapours
or mixtures when agitated by the suc-
tion air.
– Install the device outside hazardous ar-
eas.
Hazardous areas include:
– Areas within the range of tap guns.
– Zone within the range of 1 meter of the
vehicles to be tanked up.
– Area around the tank ventilation mast.
– Area within the range of 2 meters
around the shafts with connection to the
petrol separator.
– Area within the range of 2 meters
around dome shaft.
– Area around the delivering tankers.

The machine should not be used for vacu-
uming dust which endangers health.

Risk of injury on account of electric shock!
– The machine should only be operated
with a power source with proper earth-
ing.
– The mains connection cable must be
regularly checked for damage and
wear. Do not use the machine if the ca-
ble is damaged.

Risk of injury due to machine toppling over.
The machine must be installed and fas-
tened with screws on a firm, solid base.
– Please follow the national rules and reg-
ulations of the respective country.
– All persons involved with the installa-
tion, start-up, maintenance, repairs and
operations must have the respective
qualification and also know and follow
the corresponding regulations.

structions manual, Kärcher cannot assume

the customer vehicles to be cleaned as well

dry dirt from automobile interiors.
– Sucking in inflammable substances,
health-hazardous dusts and liquids indi-
cates improper use of the machine and
is therefore prohibited.
