Turning off the information on
the display

Press DISPLAY ON/OFF on the remote.

Each time you press the button while playing a
disc, the display turns off and on, alternately.
Even when the display is turned off, the display
turns on if you pause or stop play. When you
resume play, the display turns off again.
Before you start playing, when you press
DISPLAY ON/OFF to turn off the display,
“DISP OFF” appears, and when you press the
button to turn on the display, “DISP ON”
appears.

Displaying the information of
a TEXT disc in other
languages

You can change the displayed language if the
TEXT disc has multi language capacity. When
the player detects such a TEXT disc, “MULTI-
TEXT” appears on the display. Change the
language according to the procedures below.

Press MENU on the player.

Turn . AMS > until “LANGUAGE”
appears on the display.

Press . AMS >.

The current selected language (ENGLISH,
FRENCH, GERMAN, etc.) flashes.
If the player cannot display the language
used in a TEXT disc, “OTHER LANG”
appears on the display.

Turn . AMS > until the desired
language appears on the display.

Press . AMS >.

After a few seconds, the information
appears in the selected language.

Press MENU on the player.

You can locate a particular point in a track
during play or play pause.

Do the following:

While monitoring the
sound (Search)

Press and hold m/M
during play.

By observing the
time indication
(High-Speed Search)

Press and hold m/M
during play pause.

By setting the start
time (Time Search)

Turn . AMS > in
stop mode to select the
desired track.

Press and hold m/M to
set the time to start play
while looking at the display,
then press H.
