Cannot import images.

• Connect the camera and your computer correctly making a USB connection (page 135).
• Follow the designated import procedure for your OS (pages 136 and 143).
• When you shoot images with a “Memory Stick Duo” formatted by a computer, you may not be able to

import the images to a computer. Shoot using a “Memory Stick Duo” formatted by the camera
(page 54).

After making a USB connection, “PMB” does not start automatically.

• Make the USB connection after the computer is turned on (page 135).

After making a USB connection, “PMB Portable” does not start.

• Set [LUN Settings] to [Multi] (page 63).
• Set [USB Connect] to [Auto] or [Mass Storage] (page 62).
• Connect the computer to the network.
• Repair “PMB Portable” using “PMB”. For details, see the “PMB Guide”.

Cannot play back images on your computer.

• If you are using “PMB”, refer to “PMB Guide” (page 134).
• Consult the computer or software manufacturer.

You do not know how to use “PMB”.

• See the “PMB Guide” (page 134).

The image and sound are interrupted by noise when you view a movie on a
computer.

• You are playing back the movie directly from the internal memory or the “Memory Stick Duo”.

Import the movie to the hard disk of your computer, then play back the movie from the hard disk
(page 135).

Cannot print an image.

• Refer to the operation manual of the printer.

Images once exported to a computer cannot be viewed on the camera.

• Export them to a folder recognized by the camera, such as “101MSDCF” (page 138).
• Follow the correct procedures (page 137).
• When using software other than “PMB”, the information may not be updated correctly, so images

may turn blue or otherwise not be displayed correctly. This is not a malfunction.

• When blue images appear, view them in the Folder View mode or delete them with the camera.
• Check whether you exported the image to the internal memory or a “Memory Stick Duo”, and play

back the image using the recording media to which it was exported.
