Connecting a Floppy Disk Drive (Optional)

To Remove a Floppy Disk
When you finish using the floppy disk, wait until the LED indicator turns off and
then press the Eject button to remove the floppy disk.
Handling Floppy Disks
❑ Do not open the shutter manually and touch the surface of the floppy disk.
❑ Keep floppy disks away from magnets.
❑ Keep floppy disks away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.
To Disconnect a Floppy Disk Drive When the Notebook is On
1 Double-click in the task tray.
2 The “Unplug or Eject Hardware” dialog box appears.
3 Select the Y-E Data USB Floppy by clicking on it.
4 Click Stop.
5 Confirm the correct device is selected in the “Stop a hardware device" dialog
box by clicking on Y-E Data USB Floppy.
6 The message “The Y-E DATA USB Floppy device can now be safely
removed from the system” appears. Click OK.
7 Slide the release lever on the bottom of the notebook in the direction of the
arrow, then unplug the floppy disk drive from the notebook.
