Connecting a Floppy Disk Drive (Optional)

To Remove a Floppy Disk

When you finish using the floppy disk, wait until the LED indicator turns off and
then press the Eject button to remove the floppy disk.

Handling Floppy Disks

Do not open the shutter manually and touch the surface of the floppy disk.

Keep floppy disks away from magnets.

Keep floppy disks away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.

To Disconnect a Floppy Disk Drive When the Notebook is On

Double-click

in the task tray.

The “Unplug or Eject Hardware” dialog box appears.

Select the Y-E Data USB Floppy by clicking on it.

Click Stop.

Confirm the correct device is selected in the “Stop a hardware device" dialog
box by clicking on Y-E Data USB Floppy.

The message “The Y-E DATA USB Floppy device can now be safely
removed from the system” appears. Click OK.

Slide the release lever on the bottom of the notebook in the direction of the
arrow, then unplug the floppy disk drive from the notebook.
