Notes

• Do not teach AIBO a really fast action. If you teach such an action, it may cause AIBO

to malfunction.

• If you teach AIBO a really fast action, AIBO emits a warning sound first. When you

take your finger off of its paw switch, it restores the initial posture you instructed at
Step 3, and then makes the “I cannot learn this action” gesture. If AIBO emits a
warning sound while you are updating the registered action, AIBO forgets this already
registered action. Moreover, note that if you try to teach AIBO a really fast action
several times, it may affect the character of AIBO seriously.

• If AIBO falls while you are teaching it an action, AIBO turns off its horn light and

cancels the current action registration process. If this happens while you are updating
the registered action, AIBO forgets that registered action.

• AIBO loosens each joint during action registration. This does not indicate that AIBO

malfunctions.

• When AIBO does not loosen each joint, never move any of joints forcibly. It may

cause AIBO to malfunction.

6

Take your hand off of AIBO’s Paw switch.

You have finished action registration.
When you tell AIBO “Action number xx” in Autonomous mode, AIBO shows the
action you instructed.

Training

Train AIBO to master a set of originally built-in actions you selected. You can
assign a name to the set of actions AIBO mastered also (up to 10 names can be
assigned to sets of actions). You can also name an action AIBO learned during
action registration.
