Raising AIBO

Learning

You can scold AIBO, and teach it its name or various actions. AIBO learns many
things from its experience or surroundings by itself, or asks you to teach many
things. Depending on AIBO’s maturing stage or character, you can teach it some
things, while you cannot teach other things. See page 96 for details.

Teaching what is good and what is bad (breeding)

When AIBO is repeatedly praised, it tends to carry out its current behavior more
frequently. On the other hand, when it is repeatedly scolded, it tends to carry out its
current behavior less frequently. To praise or scold AIBO, press its head or talk to it
(see page 41).
In this way, your AIBO forms its own unique character that distinguishes itself
from other AIBO.
