About editing an Action list

What is an Action list?

The RM-NX7000 allow s you to program an action procedure for individual keys or buttons. A series of actions programmed for a key or button is called an
"Action list." Several actions are performed sequentially, just by pressing the key or button.

Hint

An Action list performed w hen a Component key is pressed for a longer time is called a "Component macro."

Example of an Action list

For example, if you program the follow ing actions for a function key to play back a DVD, these operations are performed automatically by simply pressing the
key.

1.

Turn on the TV.

2.

Set the input selector of the TV to VIDEO1

3.

Turn on the amplifier/receiver.

4.

Set the input selector of the amplifier/receiver to DVD.

5.

Turn on the DVD player.

6.

Start DVD playback.

7.

Jump to Page 1 of the DVD Component display.

The above actions are programmed as the Action list show n below .

The processes (actions) of "pow er on" and "input select" are usually preset to function keys of each component. To add these kinds of actions to an Action
list, refer to the actions of existing function keys using Alias actions - (1), (3), (4), (6), and (7). To add an action that is not programmed for any of existing
function keys, teach remote control signals of target AV Component using the Learn action - (9).
To jump to another page of the Home or Component display, use the Jump action - (10).
Note that AV components may not accept subsequent remote control signals just after they are turned on. Therefore, use the Delay action - (2), (5), and (8) -
to set an interval after the action to turn on an AV component.

Hint

Changing the action order may allow you to omit Delay actions.
Using the above list as an example, if you rearrange its action order, the Delay actions can be omitted because the remote control signal is not sent to the
same AV component consecutively.

1.

Turn on the amplifier/receiver.

2.

Turn on the TV.

3.

Turn on the DVD.

4.

Set the input selector of the amplifier/receiver to DVD.

5.

Set the input selector of the TV to VIDEO1.

6.

Start DVD playback.
