Adding a Learn action
("Learning IR" dialog box)
You can teach remote control signals of your AV component to any of the function keys or function buttons. This operation adds the Learn action (or the
Learn+ action) to the Action list of the function key or function button.
After the "Learning IR" dialog box appears, perform the follow ing steps to perform the learning operation.
1.
Conne ct your Re m ote Com m ande r (RM -NX7000) to your PC us ing the USB cable .

Before connecting the Remote Commander to your PC, be sure to connect the supplied AC pow er adaptor to the Remote Commander.
o
Do not disconnect the USB cable from your PC w hile teaching the remote control signals, as a malfunction may occur.
o
Do not connect several Remote Commanders to your PC at the same time, as you w ill not be able to teach the signals to the Remote Commander.

le arne d.
3.
Click "Le arn" of the "Le arning IR" dialog box.
The Remote Commander (RM-NX7000) is in standby.

Pre s s and hold dow n the button on the re m ote control of w hich the s ignal is to be le arne d until the "Le arning com ple te d" m e s s age
dialog box appe ars .
If the "Learning completed" message dialog box is displayed, the learning is complete.
Hints
o
If the "Learning failed (time out)" message dialog box appears, repeat the operation from step 3.
o
If the "Remote not connected or not responding" message dialog box appears, the Remote Commander (RM-NX7000) may not be connected to your
PC properly. After checking the connection, repeat the operation from step 3.
5.
Click "OK" of the m e s s age dialog box.
The dialog box closes, and the follow ing actions are added to the Action list.

If the Pre s e t action or Pre s e t_e m pty action is dis playe d on the Action lis t
o
The Learn+ action is added instead of the Preset action or Preset_empty action.

If the Pre s e t action or Pre s e t_e m pty action is not dis playe d on the Action lis t

The Learn action is added.
