Memorizes the basic white color which will be used in

Memorizes the basic white color for the

, do as follows.

Frame a white object such as a piece of paper filling the
screen under the same lighting conditions as you will
shoot the subject.

Select [

] (One push SET) with v. The screen

momentarily turns black and the

indicator flashes

quickly. When the white balance has been adjusted and
stored in the memory,

(One push) is selected again.

• If the

indicator flashes slowly, the white balance has not

been set or cannot be set. Use automatic white balance.

• Do not shake or strike the camera while the

indicator

flashes quickly.

• When flash mode is set to

(Forced flash) or

(Slow

synchro), the white balance is adjusted to the condition with the
flash emitting.

(Flash)

Adjusts for the flash conditions.

• You cannot select this item when shooting movies.

Adjusts for places where the lighting conditions change
quickly such as a party hall, or under bright lighting such as
photography studios.

(Fluorescent)

Adjusts for fluorescent lighting.

(Cloudy)

Adjusts for a cloudy sky.

Adjusts for outdoors, shooting night scenes, neon signs,
fireworks, or sunrise, or conditions before and after sundown.

Auto

Adjusts the White Balance automatically.
