Speaker configuration and
volume setup

By sensing the setting status of the center speaker
and subwoofer, the unit adjusts your setting
options accordingly. For example, if the
connection status of the center speaker is set to
off, you can activate the virtual center speaker
(page 37), and if it is set to on, you can adjust its
volume, etc.
The procedure also includes the volume
adjustments of each connected speaker.

Press (SYSTEM SETUP) while the unit is
off.
The system setup item appears on the main
unit.

Press

M/m to select “SP SETUP,” then

press (ENTER).

Press

M/m to select “CENTER” or

“SUB,” then press (ENTER).
The setting of center speaker/subwoofer
connection status made in initial setup
(page 14) appears.

Set the connection status of the center
speaker and subwoofer.
Press

M/m to select “ON” or “OFF,” then

press (ENTER).

Press

M/m to select “LEVEL ADJ,”

then press (ENTER).

Adjust the volume of each speaker.
To adjust the level, press

M/m.

The level is adjustable in single steps,
between –6 and +6.
To switch the speaker, press

</,.

The speaker switches as follows: FL (Front
Left)

t C* (Center) t FR (Front Right) t

SR (Rear Right)

t SL (Rear Left) t

SUB* (Subwoofer).

* Appears only when connected and set to “ON” in

step 4.

, repeatedly.

The setting is complete.

Note
If you set to “C ON” without connecting the center
speaker, vocal sound is not output, and if you set to
“SUB ON” without connecting the subwoofer, bass
sound is not output.

With the main unit
Press
(SETUP) instead of (SYSTEM SETUP), rotate
the control dial instead of pressing

M/m, or press

(SEEK) +/– instead of </,, then press the control
dial instead of
(ENTER).
