Still image data can be saved to an SD Memory
Card and then played with the unit.
The unit can play JPEG and BMP files.

What is JPEG?
An acronym for Joint Photographic Experts
Group.It is one of the standards for compressing
and expanding color still images.
A feature of JPEG is that when it is selected as

the save format of still image data, the data is

compressed to a size 1/10 to 1/100 that of the

original data but image quality deteriorates very

little considering the compression ratio.

JPEG Files Playable on the Unit
 Number of pixels: Up to 10 million pixels
[up to  400 pixels x 4 00 pixels (W x H)]
 Some JPEG files that do not comply with the

DCF standard cannot be played.

 Motion JPEG cannot be played.

picture is larger than the screen, the opening
picture is displayed after trimming some of
the picture of the file.

What is BMP?
In this manual, BMP refers not to a bitmap image
in the broad sense of a general raster image, but
to DIB (Device Independent Bitmap: Extension
BMP), which is one of the file formats for still
images. A feature of BMP is that an image with
up to approximately 1 million colors is saved
without being compressed.
