For most installations, a 1-inch (25 mm)
clearance between machines is sufficient. When
an elevated base frame is used, a
3/8-inch (10 mm) clearance is provided by
the base. A clearance of at least 12 inches
(305 mm) should be provided behind the
washer-extractors, and water inlets should be
accessible. See Figure 4.
